stampaggio a caldo

Hot forging is a technique that allows us to produce raw metal pieces (brass, aluminum, etc). This type of production stands out because it allows the production of high-quality parts through the deformation of the parent material. By working brass and aluminum using hot forging presses, it is possible to produce accessories and details with complex geometries.

Effedi is divided into four departments:

Cutting, Stamping, Shearing and Vibrating / Pickling

The raw material is provided from the best European suppliers and is always correlated with the documentation certifying the composition of the supplied alloy.

The production department consists of eight lines of friction scales with screw diameters from 140 to 250 mm and can produce parts of small weights and up to weights of 500 grams.

The company, from an Industry 4.0 perspective, is progressively proceeding with the interconnection to the IT / management system so as to allow more careful management of production planning and product quality and real-time control of machinery performance.

The interconnection to the company system is also gradually expanding to the cutting department consisting of ten hydraulic presses that allow for the correct removal of the excess material by drawing it with the shearing molds.

Vibro finishing is the final part of the process. It enables us to give some aesthetic effects to the final product, as agreed with the customer.

The processing is performed with low intensity vibrating machinery and the aid of abrasive stones which, with suitable additives, finish the surfaces of the parts to be treated, over a time that varies according to the material and the desired result.

Our department has been completely renovated and includes 6 vibrating lines.

Mold Design and Costruction

The technical office is the heart of our company.

This is where projects are born and start to take shape; the department is made up of specialized technicians and young designers using cutting-edge design systems.

The technical office and production managers carry out project feasibility analyzes in advance and, with the help of filling and injection simulation software, we are able to anticipate any critical issues in the molding process well before the start of the real design phase.

The company has invested in Industry 4.0 by purchasing new high-precision machining centers and machine tools in order to plan and monitor the progress of production and of the mold quality.

We design molds for both zamak die casting and brass molding for our sister companies, P.F. Pressofusioni Fiorentine S.r.l. and Effedi S.r.l., we also produce molds for plastics and aluminum whenever our customers are in need of a hybrid product.

Every detail is carefully scrutinized in every stage of processing, up to the final check with testing to eliminate the possibility for error on the mold. Everything is designed and programmed on CAD and CAM for milling, EDM, grinding and drilling machine tools, all CNC machines, aided by robots and tooling magazines, and finished on the bench by workers with many years of experience.

Hot Forging

In 2015 our Group acquired Effedi S.r.l., a historic company in the hot forging sector.

Mechanical Workings

At the end of the production phase, whether die-casting or hot forging, the products are finished with accurate mechanical processing and secondary finishing.

The processes that are carried out are drilling, threading and post processing; we are equipped with drill presses and CNC machining centers with pallet changers.

All these activities make it possible to remove any unwanted residues from the final pieces, and to accurately finish the shapes of each item.
